Big Cat spotted heading for Shropshire!

Not exactly, but still a Cat heading for my house. A Cat 2000 to be precise.
After a lot of browsing and badgering I managed to find what I hope is the perfect club racer Cat 2000 for me.

Here are the details from the advert:

cat 2000 ec / se -jukka stenari chassis, titainium turnbuckles allround also cat ec sidesaddle chassis & top deck, & cat 98 sidesaddle chassis & top deck, it has front & rear alloy gearboxs, enough spares to nearly build a spare car and loads more spares shocks ,springs, arbs, etc 9 sets wheels & tyres some new never run, shell, under tray, & wing, manuals 98 & 2000 red & grey tray/boxs included also haula bag to put it all in

So, fingers crossed for when it gets here.

Other news.......

Managed to finish my mates Schumacher Mission I built for him. After many hiccups the car is now finished and ready to go to its owner. Problems included faulty Radio gear and also a faulty charger, aswell as many chassis problems.
I willl get some pictures up before it goes.

Schumacher Mission EC edition

Well, heres what I am currently racing / working on. Its my Mission which I am upgrading in a similar way to the MI2 EC.

Current specs are not brilliant, they are just what I bought to get the car running so I had something to race at the local club.

The Radio gear is a mixture of an Acoms Techniplus Transmitter, an old Hitec Reciever, a new MTroniks Msonik RV15 ESC (Reverse doesnt work for some reason), a Yokomo Pro Stock 21 turn motor and a saddle pack of GP3700 cells which I built myself.

All wires were cut to an absolute minimum and the motor wires were soldered directly to the motor doing away with the plugs.

It has a Carbon Fibre top deck, HPI Super Star wheels and Schumacher Yellow Mini Pins.

I will publish some better pictures soon so the modifications are clearer to see.

Top picture shows a Carbon Fibre MI2 3700 battery tray with purple alloy battery posts. Really easy to fit in the Mission, just needs the cell slots in the chassis filing and two new holes drilling.

Also, I have replaced all the original screws with black pozi screws all seated in purple alloy washers the same as the MI2 EC. The screws might eventually be changed for the allen head type depending how far the project goes.

So far I am still looking for / wanting the Purple Alloy Lay Shaft Mounts, Diff Mounts, Purple Titanium Pivot Pins, Turnbuckles etc and also the last couple of bits of Carbon Fibre to finish the chassis.

Then, its the Cat 2000 or Cougar 2000 for the same EC treatment.

The Philosophical rantings of someone without a clue.

Right,

To start with, what are you doing here?
Maybe you came by after following some kind of diversion pointing you in the direction of my RC cars? thats possible. But then again, its very likely, as I am pretty sure you didnt come here to read some of the rubbish I am likely to post. Just like this example.

But I suppose every good or bad blog has to start somewhere.

What are you likely to find here...?

Firstly, photos of my cars. The main one currently being a Schumacher Mission S1, but I call it an EC, so its my Schumacher Mission EC, purely because I have been trying to copy the Schumacer MI2 EC.

Why not just buy an MI2 EC?

Because I dont have one, also, I have a Mission and I really like the current set up for what I am using it for. So, over time I will slowly add hop ups and keep modding it and maybe one day finish it just like how I have it inside my head.

The same goes for my Cougar 2000, which I plan on restoring.

I am after a CAT 2000 for club races and also to own one because I always wanted a CAT 2000.

My Fireblade 2000....... Not keen on the look of it, so I have a mental image of the standard Fireblade like mine with EVO parts and a few extras to give it more of the Cougar / CAT look.

So, apart from, that, the rest will be utter nonsense.
